GET-THE.NET !!!

Initially intended for use as an e-mail domain only (which is more or less what the net domain is supposed to be used for), there is no interesting content here for now. Nor is there the possibility of renting a mailbox here, although that may happen in the future. The primary objective is to have an e-mail address that is

not linked to a particular access provider (and hence subject to change if one changes provider, provider closes or is bought);
nor that of one's employer or business -- both for the same reasons as above, and it seems healthier to "have a life";
nor a redirection provided by one's old school -- not everyone has that possiblitiy, so it is somewhat elitist, not to mention the difficulty of choosing among one's undergrad school and grad schools;
nor one's family name (or given name plus family name) -- how unfair to the next person who might have wanted it for the same reason!
nor one of the "free" ones which assault one with advertising of various sorts (there is no free lunch).

Just a simple, easy-to-remember name of a virtual building in which one is proud to have a mailbox! If, at some point, the virtual residents want to decorate, preach from their balconies, and so on, there may be something interesting here; but not yet.
